We have a lengthy record of environmentally conscientious building practices that promote Green Construction throughout the entire development process.

Neil Shaw, LEED Green Associate, and a Project Manager at Merit Construction Northwest, has recently earned his LEED Green Associate from the U.S. Green Building Council's (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Green Building Rating System (LEED). LEED is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of environmentally sustainable buildings.

Merit Construction Northwest became a sustaining member of the Society of American Military Engineers (S.A.M.E.) in January 2010. The mission of the Society of American Military Engineers is to promote and facilitate engineering support for national security by developing and enhancing relationships and competencies among uniformed services, public and private sector engineers, and related professionals.

America's Credit Union has selected Merit Construction Northwest to build its newest branch in Spanaway. Crews broke ground in March 2010 on a 5,500 square foot building. This will be the tenth branch that ACU has awarded to Merit.

Boys & Girls Club South Tacoma Hope Center, located on the grounds of the old Mt. Tahoma High School, continues with phase two. The 30,000 square foot facility will house a senior center, game room, teen center, gymnasium, computer lab and performing arts studio. This is our third Hope Center being constructed for the Boys & Girls Club of South Puget Sound.

Kitsap Credit Union has chosen Merit Construction Northwest to be their GC on their newest branch in the Uptown Shopping Center in Gig Harbor. The 2,200 square foot branch will be Merit's third project with the credit union.
