Over the past 67 years, Merit has evolved through five logo changes, each marking a new chapter and bringing fresh energy to the company. Through every era, one element has remained constant: the iconic Merit M. At the end of 2025, we unveiled new branding that stays true to the Merit M while fully ushering it into a new era.

The Merit M has always stood for more than just our name. It represents who we are, how we work, and what we believe in. With that in mind, we’re excited to introduce our newest campaign: M Defined.

M Defined is a six-month storytelling and reflection series that takes a closer look at what defines Merit—our values, our people, our projects, and our future. From January through June 2026, we’ll explore six key “M” words that represent the attitudes, actions, and principles shaping our culture and the way we build.

Each month, we’ll highlight one word and share stories, insights, and real examples from across our company, job sites, and client partnerships—bringing the Merit M to life in meaningful, tangible ways.
