Merit is proud to have completed the renovation of an existing 13,900 SF masonry building located at Joint Base Lewis McChord. Hazardous materials were removed and Merit was able to salvage historical materials. The existing brick exterior was restored and cleaned to enhance building appearance and to provide long term weather protection. Thermal insulation was installed and windows were refurbished and reinstalled to conserve energy.

The contractor was very professional and cooperative throughout the performance of the contract. They maintained active communication with all applicable Government parties while providing on-site oversight of sub-contractors throughout the project. The quality of workmanship was evident at the final inspection with multiple customer comments on the satisfaction of the facility. The contractor took a very complex project of restoration of an old facility with a detailed Statement of Work for the construction effort to success on behalf of the Government.
