Grill & Gear 2026 - Honoring the Men of Merit

Construction is hard.

The days are long, the work is demanding, and rain or shine, the job still needs to get done.

At Merit, we’re proud of the men who show up every day and make that happen — whether they’re on the jobsite in the nitty gritty or behind the scenes keeping everything moving from the office.

We didn’t want to say thank you with a few social media posts or a quick shoutout. Let’s be honest, they probably wouldn’t see it anyways. So naturally, we threw them a party!

Hello Grill and Gear!

We fired up the grills, stocked up on food and drinks, brought in some seriously good gear and gave the guys an afternoon to kick back, hang out and enjoy themselves. Everyone went home with custom Merit gear and had the chance to choose from a lineup of prizes, including YETI coolers, Home Depot gift cards and more.

But the prizes were only a small part of it.

Grill & Gear was about taking a break from the job and celebrating the people behind the work. These guys define what true teamwork is – whether it is staying late, jumping in on a project that needs extra hands, coming in on the weekends or a day off to help a project stay on schedule – there is nothing they wouldn’t do for each other or our clients.
